The Edmonton Huskies will be hosting their winter workouts starting on February.9, 2013 at the Commonwealth Field House located at 11000 Stadium Road NW and would like to invite all interested high school players from grades 11 to 12 to attend and also welcome all returning players. All players attending need to be at the field and ready to go 15 minutes before practice and are to bring the proper athletic apparel as well as football cleats.

Edmonton- The Edmonton Huskies are proud to welcome three new coaches to their staff, Quarterbacks coach Dan McDermid, Defensive backs Coach Sammy Okpro and Offensive line coach Bryan Marshall. The Huskies would also like to announce that receiver’s coach Aaron Holba will become the new Offensive coordinator and linebacker’s coach Paul Rachmistruk will take over as the Defensive coordinator.

Edmonton- The Edmonton Huskies are proud to announce the appointment of Iain Maclean as its new Head Coach for 2013 season. Coach Maclean succeeds Rick Walters who accepted a coaching position with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.
Coach Maclean spent the last two seasons with the Edmonton Huskies as their Offensive line Coach.

Edmonton Huskies’ Chance Hanson was named 2012 PFC All-Star Linebacker at the annual Prairie Football Conference Awards Dinner on Saturday, October 20, 2012. The Hillside High product led the PFC in defensive points for the 2nd consecutive year with 117. Last year Chance was one of the finalists for the prestigious Wally Buono Award recognizing Canada's top junior football player.

The conference basement dwellers battle it out in the opening contest of the Sunday tripleheader. The Rifles gave the Regina Thunder a few fits last Sunday, but ultimately dropped a 31-26 decision.
